Job Posting – Director of Housing

The Métis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S), is the government that represents Métis citizens in Saskatchewan.  A recently signed agreement between the Government of Canada and the MN-S has recognized and ratified the MN-S’ right to self-governance and self-determination and has instilled the Métis Nation’s right to undertake core governance matters that will ultimately help to improve the quality of life for all Métis people in the province of Saskatchewan.

The MN-S has an immediate opening for a DIRECTOR OF HOUSING. Through the Housing Portfolio, the Director of Housing will have a direct, meaningful and sustainable impact on improving the quality of life for Métis citizens throughout Saskatchewan.

The Director of Housing will develop and implement a comprehensive Métis Nation Housing Strategy in conjunction with Regions and citizens to identify and advance opportunities including potential investments to improve Métis access to, delivery and control of, affordable and social housing.  This responsibility includes the planning, development, acquisition, building and repairs of housing and shelter facilities, while complying with all governmental funding agreements, applicable legislation and regulations, financing asset management and managing risk.
