MN–S Calls for Participants to sit on homelessness board

December 13, 2021 – This is your opportunity to make a difference. As the Community Entity for the Reaching Home Rural and Remote Homelessness Funding Stream, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) administers funding on behalf of the federal government. MN–S is looking for interested individuals to sit on the Saskatchewan Homelessness Advisory Board (SHAB).

The SHAB focuses on evaluating and recommending homelessness programs and projects that address and reduce homelessness across the province. As a board member you’ll be required to review and assess project proposals and ensure funding is applied to those that will most appropriately respond to the needs of the community they serve.

MN–S is seeking dedicated people, particularly youth over the age of 18, who have experience with homelessness programs, an interest in homelessness issues or lived experience in homelessness. Volunteer board members must be prepared to commit to a term of two to three years and agree to meet as a board at least five-times a year. Métis representation will be prioritized. A copy of your Métis Nation–Saskatchewan citizenship card must be submitted with your resume.

Details about the call to participate are here

Interested applicants can submit their resume before 4 pm, January 7, 2022, to [email protected].
