MN–S hosts Saskatchewan Housing and Homelessness Conference in 2023

January 12, 2022 – Bringing stakeholders and those with lived-experience together, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) hosts the first ‘Building Community – Saskatchewan Housing and Homelessness Conference’ in Saskatoon.

Over two days in March, service providers, government representatives and people with a history of homelessness will come together to discuss solutions, best practices and government policies to tackle the growing issue. The conference is open to everyone but registration is required. Join us to share your expertise and participate in professional development sessions and conversations about sector trends during the conference.

Federal Housing Advocate Marie-Josée Houle will host a ‘fireside chat’ about human rights, homelessness and housing. Special Keynote speaker Joe Roberts, a.k.a. The Skidrow CEO, will share his journey from living without a home or hope to living to help others.

MN–S is partnered with Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association, River Bank Development Corp, Namerind Housing Corp, Saskatchewan Landlords Association, and the Network of Non-Profit Housing Providers to stage the conference. The alliance demonstrates a commitment to collaborating on solutions to homelessness which is the cornerstone of this conference.
