July 6, 2020 – Métis Nation – Saskatchewan (MN-S) is expanding its indigenous language preservation program to include Dene.  The Dene Early Learning Pilot Project (DELPP) will be run in the Northern Lights School Division in La Loche this fall, enrolling prekindergarten and kindergarten students in immersive Dene language programming.  It will be taught by some of the first graduates of the Dene Teacher Education Program through the First Nations University of Canada.
