Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) responds to COVID-19 demands with next phase of surge plan

December 3, 2020  – Based on the continued rise in COVID-19 cases province-wide, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced it is moving forward with the next phase of its surge plan to meet expected demand. This includes service slowdowns to allow staff redeployment in support of pandemic response and create more capacity. This will enable the SHA to redeploy up to 600 staff to help strengthen testing, contact tracing and expand hospital and ICU capacity. This targeted approach is meant to minimize impact and balance urgent COVID-19 needs with the every-day health care needs of Saskatchewan residents. The SHA will review the surge plan weekly. https://www.saskhealthauthority.ca/…/SHA-activates-next…
