New signs recognize the heartland of the Métis and Treaty 5 Territory
August 31, 2021 – New signs in the province’s northeast recognize the heartland of the Métis and Treaty 5 Territory.
A gathering was held today outside Nipawin at the E. B. Campbell Dam, with members of Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) and Cumberland House Cree Nation (CHCN) present. MN–S President Glen McCallum and CHCN Chief Rene Chaboyer.
Based on our nation-to-nation relationship, MN–S and CHCN will work together to advance shared issues of economic development and governance.
