Métis Nation–Saskatchewan and University of Saskatchewan sign historic agreement on verifying Métis Citizenship and Identity

November 27, 2021 – A precedent-setting agreement has been signed by Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) and the University of Saskatchewan (USask) at the Fall 2021 Métis Nation Legislative Assembly (MNLA) in Saskatoon. The Agreement will ensure the University will rely on the objectively verifiable MN–S Citizenship Registry to assess eligibility for Métis based opportunities.

Today’s agreement advances the partnership between MN–S and USask, first established in 2019 with an MOU to improve Métis opportunities on campus.
