Métis Government hosts pop-up vaccination clinic this weekend in Saskatoon
December 14, 2021 – Bring your young one down to the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) office on 20th Street East in Saskatoon this weekend for a COVID-19 vaccination and an early Christmas gift.
In conjunction with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), MN–S is holding a culturally safe pop-up paediatric vaccination clinic to raise awareness and encourage vaccination.
If you have a child between five and 11 years old, bring them down to our MN–S office at 310 – 20th Street East to receive their first or second Pfizer vaccine. Appointments are strongly encouraged to avoid wait times, but walk-ins are welcome. Contact the toll-free line at 1-833-638-4775 to book your child’s appointment.
You will need to provide the child’s health card for them to get a vaccination, and it must be at least 21 days since their first dose. MN–S citizenship is not required; the clinic is open to all.
The culturally aware clinic will open with a traditional prayer, and bannock will be available. For their participation, children will receive a special gift to take home.
The MN–S COVID-19 vaccination clinic is one day only, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 310 – 20th Street East, Saskatoon. It runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Call 1-833-638-4775 for more information or to make an appointment.
A media release is available here.
