Monthly Tea and Talks/ Li Tii Minihkwaytaak Piikishkwaytaak: A Métis Health Series

December 14, 2021 – Make 2022 all about your health and attend the MN–S online monthly Tea and Talks/ Li Tii Minihkwaytaak Piikishkwaytaak: A Métis Health Series. Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) Ministry of Health has partnered with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Health Canada to share current information about important health and wellbeing topics that might be affecting you and your family.

Each month a new topic will be discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields. There will be an opportunity to ask the questions that are most important to you on topics like the COVID-19 vaccination in adults and children, mental wellness, addictions and substance abuse, diabetes, cancer, tobacco and vaping. Each culturally sensitive session will be live-streamed on Facebook and hosted on Zoom.

The first event is COVID-19 Vaccination for Children featuring Dr Ibrahim Khan, Regional Medical Health Officer for First Nations Inuit Health Branch (FMIHB) – Saskatchewan Region, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), Government of Canada.
