MN–S Recognizes Early Childhood Educators
May 25, 2022 – May is Early Childhood Education Month in Saskatchewan, and Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) wants to acknowledge early childhood professionals making a difference in our communities with the Métis Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Recognition Program.
Help MN–S celebrate the accomplishments of MN–S citizens who are early childhood professionals in Saskatchewan. We are looking for people who incorporate Métis culture and language into early learning and create a culturally safe and affirming space for Métis children.
Nominate an MN–S citizen working as an early learning professional from all northern, central, or southern regions of the province. Identify how they incorporate Métis content in their teachings and share why you believe they deserve the recognition.
Some examples of early learning nominees include professionals from Early Learning Centres, Daycare Homes, HeadStarts or Preschool Programs.
This recognition is specifically intended for our Métis Early Childhood Educators who have official certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), are working toward official ECE certification, or are interested in pursuing ECE certification in the province.
The ECE categories as defined by the Province of Saskatchewan are listed here.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 17, 2022.
Nomination forms are available here.
