February ‘Tea and Talks’ – Building a healthy nation through community immunity

February 6, 2023 – This month, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan’s (MN–S) online Tea and Talks / Li Tii Minihkwaytaak Piikishkwaytaak: A Métis Health Series features guest speaker Dr. Veronica McKinney. Dr. McKinney is of Cree/Métis descent and is currently the Director of Northern Medical Services, a department of the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.

On Thursday the 16th, Dr. McKinney will be speaking about the importance of receiving regular immunizations to protect ourselves and others.

MN–S presents the Health Tea and Talks monthly in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Health Canada. Each month a new topic is discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields.

The talks are an opportunity for you to ask important questions about topics like nutrition, mental wellness, addiction, substance abuse, diabetes, cancer, tobacco and vaping.
