Métis Rights Conference on UNDRIP – Shaping our Future

April 18, 2023 – Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is hosting the ‘Métis Rights Conference on UNDRIP – Shaping our Future’ on May 5 and 6 at Dakota Dunes Resort. The two-day conference is a chance to make connections, share knowledge, and discuss the MN–S vision of Self-Government and how it aligns with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Learn more about the rights of Métis people in Saskatchewan and join the conversation on what UNDRIP means to you and your communities.

The conference opens on National Red Dress Day. There will be a moment of remembrance to show support for missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people.

A special Youth Conference will be held on May 4, where youth delegates will provide perspectives on UNDRIP and the future of our Métis Nation for consideration on May 5 and 6.

The ‘Métis Rights Conference on UNDRIP – Shaping our Future’ agenda is here.

Registration is now closed. Keynote speakers will be streamed live: https://metisnationsk.com/MRC/.
