Braided Rug Sustainability Webinar Series focuses on environmental sustainability

August 17, 2023 – Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is excited to introduce the Braided Rug Sustainability Webinar Series, an interactive webinar series examining climate change, the environment, and sustainability through a Métis lens. Featuring guest speakers with expertise in areas such as emergency management, plant identification, and food preservation, the series offers you the opportunity to listen, learn, and share your thoughts.

The next Braided Rug session will demonstrate traditional Métis methods for preserving chokecherries as chokecherry syrup. Presented cooking-show style, your host will take you through each stage of the process, from drying and juicing to water-bath and pressure canning.
