The Li Muskeg Ni Pishkaapahtaynaan (Protect Our Muskegs) Project

September 6 – The Métis Nation–Saskatchewan Ministry of Lands & Environment invites you to take part in the Li Muskeg Ni Pishkaapahtaynaan (Protect Our Muskegs) project. Through an ongoing series of walks and workshops, the project will promote education and advocacy for the protection of Saskatchewan’s muskegs, a biologically and culturally significant ecosystem to the Métis.

Upcoming events:

Muskeg Walk – Medicinal plant teachings and a hike through the muskeg
September 17 from 12 pm­–3 pm
Prince Albert National Park – Mud Creek Trail in Waskesiu

Meet at the Mud Creek Trail, 4.5 km down the Narrows Road in Waskesiu. The trail can be accessed from the South Bay day use area. There is a parking lot available and a map nearby to guide participants to the trail’s location.
