Métis Healthcare Guidebooks

September 27, 2023 – Métis Nation­–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is creating a series of guidebooks to support Métis citizens as they navigate the healthcare system. To develop content, we’re looking for contributions from those with lived or personal experience.

If you’d like to participate, share your stories and insights by scheduling a one-on-one phone conversation or submit an audio, video, or written statement. There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on guidebook drafts. An honorarium will be provided to participants.

The Cardiovascular Disease Project Team invites Métis citizens with heart and circulatory system diseases to share their stories. Examples of cardiovascular disease include heart attack (or coronary artery disease/ischemic heart disease), angina, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), and hypertension (high blood pressure).

Examples of chronic kidney conditions include but are not limited to: chronic kidney disease, lupus, chronic hypertension, and kidney cancer(s).
