Call to Participate on the Saskatchewan Homelessness Advisory Board
April 18, 2024 – As the Community Entity (CE) for the Reaching Home Non-Designated Indigenous Homelessness and the Reaching Home Non-Designated Rural and Remote Homelessness Funding Streams, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is issuing a Call to Participate on the Saskatchewan Homelessness Advisory Board (SHAB).
If you have experience with homelessness, homelessness programs, or are interested in related issues, the Board is seeking applicants from the following demographics:
Youth (18 to 30 years old) – one position
Métis – two positions
First Nations – one position
As a member of the Board, you will be required to engage local stakeholders to implement homelessness projects and programs in both remote and rural Saskatchewan. Paid travel and expenses included. You will be required to develop terms of reference related to policies and procedures, determine Reaching Home funding priorities based on community needs, and recommend applications accordingly.
Selected Board members must be willing to commit to a term of two to three years.
Please note: MN–S staff and MN–S elected are not eligible to sit on the Board.
