The Power of Giving: Understanding Organ and Ocular Donation

This month, the MN–S Health team is joined by Graham Stobbs. With 13 years of nursing experience, Graham has dedicated the past three years to serving as a Donor Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Organ and Tissue Donation Program. In this role, they guide and support families and individuals through the organ and tissue donation process. Graham also conducts public education to raise awareness about donation as a critical component of end-of-life care. A core part of their role is to ensure that every donor and their family can make a truly informed decision and never one that is assumed.

The Saskatchewan Organ and Tissue Donation Program is a provincial service that works for the people of Saskatchewan. The program’s mission is to ensure that all residents, regardless of where they live, are aware of their option to be an organ and tissue donor. By providing information and support, the program helps uphold every individual’s right to choose.
