MN–S partners to construct Tiny Homes in La Loche
September 29, 2022 – 14 new living spaces have opened in La Loche for people to call home. Eight more are on the way.
Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) partnered with the Methy Housing Corporation last year, contributing $700,000 toward the tiny home project. A ground-breaking this week will result in an additional eight tiny homes. MN–S is providing $500,000 for the new development.
As the Community Entity (CE) to administer the Government of Canada’s Reaching Home Programming, MN–S can help provide housing for our most vulnerable citizens. Cooperation leads to homelessness solutions.
Today, Housing and Infrastructure Minister Loretta King welcomed the new residents home after the ribbon cutting outside the Tiny Home project then helped break ground on the new project.
