April 4, 2023 – A major development will take shape over the summer months at Batoche. The ground where the future Dumont Lodge will sit was blessed during a special ceremony at the site today.

Officials, including Metis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) President Glen McCallum, Vice President Michelle LeClair, Education Minister Tim Roussin, Youth Minister Autumn Laing-LaRose, and Housing and Infrastructure Minister Loretta King, were on hand to mark the occasion.

The 18,000 square-foot building will primarily be home to the Riel Scout program. A media release is here.
