Métis Nation-Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly welcomes the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations
Today, Saturday, November 23, the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan welcomed the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations, to our fall legislative assembly.
Minister Bennett conferred with delegates, addressed the assembly, met with the Île-à-la-Crosse Boarding School Survivors Committee, and was gifted an intricately beaded shawl handcrafted by Val Trudel from the New Southern Plains Métis Local 160 in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.
This is the first time the Honourable Minster has addressed our legislative assembly and attended to witness to our democratic process. We continue to strengthen our partnership and advance our shared vision of a government to government relationship together.
