MN-S applauds federal supports for Indigenous business
April 23, 2020 – Métis Nation – Saskatchewan (MN-S) is pleased the federal government recognizes the economic hardships faced by many Métis business operators in the province by including Indigenous business in COVID-19 emergency supports.
SaskMétis Economic Development Corporation (SMEDCO) will be administering the MN–S portion of the $305 federal commitment through the Metis Emergency Capital Assistance Program – MECAP. That means Métis businesses may be eligible for up to $40 thousand in an emergency loan to assist with working capital and operating expenses.
