Opportunity for Research Coordinator, Métis Culture and Cancer Prevention Project

February 14, 2022 – The University of Saskatchewan (USask) is hiring a Research Coordinator for Métis Culture and Cancer Prevention to work on a joint project between the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S), the University of Regina (U of R), and USask. This will be a full time (1.0 FTE) Research Coordinator for a one-year term as a USask employee. The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a health or social science related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience. A graduate degree would be an asset. The coordinator’s duties will include facilitating all data collection, applying for ethics approval, travelling with the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) to Indian Head for all RAC meetings and cultural events, gathering informed consents, conducting interviews, and arranging travel and honoraria. This position is not in the scope of any bargaining unit and falls under USask non-union handbook guidelines – salary range $60,000 to $65,000, depending on qualifications.
