MN–S  CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM AND RELATED LEGISLATIVE CHANGES

It is an exciting time for Métis in Saskatchewan as we continue on our journey of self-government and realizing Louis Riel’s dream of self-determination. Ensuring our governance reflects our values and culture is necessary and your voice is critical to constitutional reform.  We invite you to join us in sharing your ideas as we collectively review a draft of the proposed amendments to the MN–S Constitution.

The Voice of the People constitutional reform process continues in 2024, under the leadership of Vice President Michelle LeClair. More information about upcoming engagement sessions will be available soon.

The Voice of the People Constitutional Reform team held consultations in 2019, 2022 and 2023 with sessions in every region of the province. Review the summary reports including feedback from 2019 and 2022.

Proposed amendments to the MN–S Constitution are based on those reports and subsequent 2023 Constitutional sessions. The most recent versions of the documents, 2023-06-22 (07:40), are below:

MN–S Constitution

MN–S Election Act

***These are living documents and will be updated regularly based on your continued input.

Help shape the future of our Nation – be the ‘Voice of the People’ this year.
