Food harvesting is a integral element of Métis culture and an affirmation of who we are.  Before closing out the year the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan and the Government of Saskatchewan reaffirmed the commitment to work together to determine, recognize and respect Métis food harvesting rights.  The MOU signing December 18, 2019, is to pursue a long-term, province-wide agreement as soon as possible.  Details of the MOU are here.
