Food harvesting is an integral element of Métis culture and an affirmation of who we are.  Before closing out 2019, the Métis Nation-Saskatchewan and the Government of Saskatchewan reaffirmed a 2010 commitment to work together to determine, recognize and respect Métis food harvesting rights.  The MOU signing on December 18, 2019, is to pursue a long-term, province-wide agreement as soon as possible.
