MN-S Healthy Food Project for Métis Cancer Patients

September 10, 2020 – Métis Nation – Saskatchewan Ministry of Health knows one of the keys to a cancer patient’s recovery is a healthy diet.  That’s why we are extending supports to Métis citizens currently undergoing cancer treatments with a good food budget.

In addition to the Cancer Transportation Pilot program, announced last month, a food security pilot project is offered to cancer patients who are traveling for cancer treatments. Now financial support for healthy food will be provided to registered citizens in addition to covering treatment transportation costs.

This project is made possible by MN-S’ partnership with Agri-Food Canada’s Second Harvest initiative.  Please contact Ministry of Health Coordinator Tanya Pruden at: [email protected].
