July ‘Tea and Talks’ discusses Intergenerational trauma and childhood experiences

June 29, 2022 – This July, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan’s (MN–S) online Tea and Talks / Li Tii Minihkwaytaak Piikishkwaytaak: A Métis Health Series will feature two speakers. Bonnie Marwood, Métis lawyer and Masters of Law candidate, is an expert on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Erin Beckwell, a social worker and trauma-informed community educator. They will discuss intergenerational trauma and childhood experiences.

MN–S presents the Health Tea and Talks monthly in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Health Canada. Each month a new topic is discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields.

The talks are an opportunity for you to ask important questions about topics like nutrition, mental wellness, addiction, substance abuse, diabetes, cancer, tobacco and vaping. Sessions are live-streamed on Facebook and hosted on Zoom.
