About the Métis

Our children’s future is in our hands

Our children and families mean the world to us. Métis people have the jurisdiction to provide child and family services in their home communities. The Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) government wants to ensure all the proper supports are in place to do it right.

Collectively, we can make changes that will strengthen our families. You can help shape our future.

We are visiting communities in Saskatchewan to gather input about what provisions are required to guarantee our Métis children are raised at home, practising Métis traditions, growing up with our Métis culture, surrounded by loving care givers.

The culturally sensitive, safe sessions are designed to be inclusive and provide diverse perspectives. It takes a village to raise a child. Let’s address their needs together. Join us at an engagement near you!

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is not a requirement to attend an engagement session however it will help us with our event planning details and when booking refreshments. Feedback provided at these sessions will be documented and used for future planning and development.
