February ‘Tea and Talks’ addresses Métis Patient Advocacy in Action

February 20, 2024 – Systemic racism in our health care system is a reality for many Métis people. As Métis Nation–Saskatchewan Patient Advocate, it’s Bonnie Marwood’s job to work together with citizens and partners to advocate for improved care. MN–S presents the Health Tea and Talks monthly in partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Health Canada. Each month a new topic is discussed with guest speakers who are experts in their fields.

The talks are an opportunity to ask important questions on topics like vaccines, nutrition, mental wellness, addiction, substance abuse, diabetes, cancer, tobacco, and vaping.
